Maraflex is the elastic sewing thread for household sewing machines. It creates elastic seams using straight stitch without an overlock or coverstitch machine. With a seam stretch of up to 80 %, this sewing thread is particularly flexible. Maraflex is always used in combination as a needle thread and bobbin thread and is sewn with low thread tension. This allows the seams to expand optimally at a later stage. The best seam elasticity is achieved with four stitches per centimetre. Whether it is a round neckline, tight seams or cuffs on the legs and sleeves, Maraflex makes clothing flexible. It is perfect for hoodies, joggers and children's trousers. Trimming is no longer necessary on non-fraying fabrics: Simply cut off the seam allowance close to the edge - and that is it.
