Peppermint Stitches Christmas Newsletter

Wednesday 9th 2009f December 2009

Hi Everyone!

Let me wish you all a very Merry Christmas/Silly Season! I cannot believe we are already into December - time truly has flown by!

News

At the end of November we added a new staff member to our Peppermint Stitches family - Marjorie Poole. Some of you may remember her from when she owned a cross stitch store in Toowong, or when she worked at the Quilters and Embroiderer’s Store. She has extensive knowledge in needlecraft and patchwork so we are very grateful to her for joining our team!

Two weeks ago we renovated the fabric room. We removed the tables and boxes of fabric from the center of the room, and put in proper shelving for the fabric! It looks fabulous, the fabric is displayed in a much friendlier way!

Christmas Trading Hours - we will be closing the store on the 24th December at 1pm, and will re-open on Monday 4th of January.

We are currently not updating our online store. A new store is being prepared to go live in late January, if you are after new stock that is not listed on the website (which is most of the store- eek!) please contact us via email or phone.

Thursday 6th 2009f August 2009

Just a brief update to let people know that we will be open on the Ekka show day, Wednesday 12th August from 10am to 2pm.

We have a class running on the show holiday as well, it is a basic Machine Applique class from 10am to 1pm with Fiona, so if you are interested please email or call us as there are still a couple of spots still available for this fantastic class.

And some good news for our online shoppers, the Secure Socket Layer is back up and running and it is now safe to place orders with credit cards on the secure site. Thank you to all who have patiently waited, and emailed us to let us know the SSL was down.

August Update

Saturday 1st 2009f August 2009

This is just a quick update to all Peppermint Stitches customers that we are changing our shop hours as of Monday, 3rd August. We are pleased to annouce that we will be extending trading to include Mondays!

The new shop days and hours are now:

Monday 10am - 5pm

Tuesday 10am - 5pm

Wednesday 10am -5pm

Thursday 10am - 5pm

Also, you may have noticed the website has undergone a makeover! We are still in the transition phase, and a couple of links are broken. I am working on fixing them, as well as implementing a new shopping cart to include patchwork fabrics and wool with the cross stitch supplies. We are also having issues with our SSL layer, and I am working with my wonderful web tech guy to correct this issue. If you are wanting to order stock please email us the orders and we will process them manually.

Lastly, we are starting to put out all the new Christmas fabric. There are some lovely ranges, so if you intend to start any Christmas projects you may want to come in soon, as - dare I say it - Christmas isn’t that far away!!

Happy Stitching!
