Hi! I'm Stacey, the owner from Peppermint Stitches - one of Brisbane's nicest, and friendliest craft stores! We are located 10 minutes from the city centre in a lovely suburb called Toowong. Our specialties include; patchwork and quilting, cross stitch supplies and wool.

As a young store owner (relatively speaking that is!) I am drawn to contemporary fabrics, patterns, and ideas. The fabrics I currently carry, range from bright contemporary prints from Amy Buter, Anna Maria Horner, Tula Pink, Kaffe Fassett (to name a few), to reproduction fabrics from the 1800's as well as a generous range of reproduction 1930's prints. I am captivated by Moda's pre-cut ranges and stock a large portion of Jelly Rolls, Layer Cakes, Charm Squares, Sweet Rolls, and Turnovers.

My very first passion was cross stitch, and I understand how hard good quality cross stitch supplies can be to obtain! We stock a large range of cross stitch designers from Mirabilia, to Ink Circles, to more primitive designs by Little House Needleworks, and Blackbird Designs. We stock a vast array of hand-dyed threads and fabrics from many of the great brands to complement our cross stitch supplies. We carry all DMC stranded cottons, perle cottons, and many of their specialty threads, and plain-dyed Zweigart and Permin fabrics, ranging in all counts, sizes and colours.

As a knitter, I couldn't imagine my store without wool. We stock the finest hand-dyed wool from Australia and around the world. We carry hard-to-find brands such as Malabrigo, Cherry Tree Hill, Pear Tree Yarns, Woolganics, and Dream in Color. As well as a range of Addi needles, and a small range of patterns and accessories to complement our wool.

I am very passionate about all the items I bring into my store, and one of my major philosphies is to bring the highest quality products to my customers.

We are the bright red building on the corner! We are closer to the Milton Rd end of Sylvan Rd (about 20m from Milton Rd corner). There is parking out the front, or along the street on both sides.

No buses run along Sylvan Rd, but the Bus Depot at Toowong, and buses that run along Milton Rd are the easiest form of transportation. If you like a 20 minute walk, the closest train station is Toowong, or you can get off the city cat at the Regatta stop. Please refer to the translink website for more information on what buses/trains/city cats you can take to get to my store.
